The Derby Club chair is based on the earliest and most authentic of Chesterfield club chair designs. It features a straight and level back- a characteristic synonymous of the original chesterfields. Another key feature is the fully buttoned interior and arm/ back top. The Seat base is fully sprung and webbed and is buttoned -or ‘tufted’ so as to keep its shape whilst giving high levels of comfort. The facings are fully studded by hand so as to keep the leather taut and to ensure no sagging occurs in the leather. The lower front edge or ‘border’ is single buttoned and pleated to add further detail. This leather club chair is finished off by the solid mahogany bun feet at its base.
