Club Chairs these days don’t have to be old fashioned and ‘gentlemanly’ pieces of furniture, unless of course, you want that traditional look.
People nowadays want the quality and luxury afforded by a Chesterfield Club Chair but might want something a bit more modern and sleek looking.
Club Chairs come in various different shapes and sizes, depending on the environment you are putting them in. Whatever your taste, there’s bound to be a Club Chair to suit you.
If you are furnishing a traditional golf club, or similar, and want a more authentic look – then the timeless button-backed and studded Club Chair, perhaps in antique red, brown or green, would ooze charm and sophistication.
If, however, you were furnishing a trendy wine bar or loft apartment, then a sleeker and more contemporary Club Chair, perhaps in striking white, would be perfect.
Or then there’s the office or study – what sort of image are you going for? Whatever you decide, you can be sure there’s a Club Chair to match your image.
And not only is it upholstered in leather but modernists are now covering Club Chairs in fabric, which gives a much softer, country-living feel.

The Darwin Chair – a classic buttoned tub chair, hand-crafted from hardwood, the Darwin Chair is beautifully made with careful attention to detail and design. The Darwin Chair has exposed polished legs and a fully buttoned interior and seat. It will grace and enhance any room.
This chair is a lot more sleek and modern looking than the traditional ‘chunky’ Club Chair. The arms are a lot narrower and it stands proud on raised legs, as opposed to the usual bun feet.
The Darwin Cushion Chair is a classic tub chair with fully buttoned arms and back, complete with cushioned seat. This is styled like the Darwin Chair but it’s obvious difference is the chunky hand-stuffed seat.
Both chairs exude comfort and luxuriousness, and would look ideal in a modern club setting. The leather is hand-finished for a unique and individual finish.
Also available is the Darwin Foot Stool.

It is common these days to see Club Chairs in members clubs, golf clubs and even home offices. The name ‘Club Chair’ does, in fact, originate from the 19th Century gentlemens clubs in London where, at the time, the Club Chair was almost exclusively seen.
But what do you want from your Club Chair? Do you have a classic stately home or a modern loft apartment? Whatever your living circumstances, we can accommodate each and every one of your tastes. Club Chairs are traditionally upholstered in a very high quality antique leather or aniline leather, although we can now upholster your Club Chair in any fabric you require.
A plain upholstered Club Chair provides a more contemporary look – ideal for the home office or a more relaxed club setting. The fully tufted, buttoned or partially studded options provide a more traditional look.
You can choose from a crested back, flared or straight arms. An over-stuffed body and soft hand-stuffed cushion is ideal for those seeking comfort as a priority.
