Antique Leather for your Club Chair
So you’ve chosen a colour scheme for your room/office. What you have to decide now is what type of leather you are looking for. Also, the quality of leather you choose will determine ultimately which colour you have to decide upon for your Club Chair.
We have three types of leather, at Distinctive Chesterfields, as standard for your Club Chair. These are Antique, Premium and Hand-Dyed. Here we take a look at Antique Leather.
Antique Leather is the standard leather used for Club Chairs and has been used for over a century to give Club Chairs a deep glossy finish.
Antique Leather is a hard-wearing, corrected grain leather. This type of leather is ‘blacked’ prior to being applied to the frame of the Club Chair, then once the Club Chair has been upholstered, the leather is hand-antiqued by partially ‘rubbing off’ the black coat on top to reveal a lighter more traditional colour underneath. Once this process has taken place, the entire Club Chair is then hand-sealed to protect the leather and enhance the final finish. This laborious technique gives the end product an authentic antiqued appearance. Antique Leather is very fine in quality and is available in ten different colours. These consist of:
Light Rust, Antique Rust, Autumn Tan, Tan, Brown, Gold, Red, Green, Olive and Blue.
